About Us

Our Philosophy and Goals
With the cooperation of the administration, teaching staff, support staff, families, communities, and collaborating agencies, CCD Fall River Daycare will operate and maintain a quality daycare center that embraces the diversity of children and their unique cultures. We will provide a program in the center that gives attention to the physical, social, emotional and intellectual growth and development of each child. Families and communities are encouraged to join us in these efforts. In order to achieve these goals, we will employ educated staff trained to plan and implement a program designed to meet the needs of the whole child and their families, with each child being seen as an individual. The continuing education of the staff will be a program priority and will be encouraged through staff meetings, workshops, college credit courses, advocacy involvement and T.E.A.C.H. scholarships. Teamwork, cooperation and communication among all staff members and families will be expected in order to achieve our mission statement.
Mission Statement
To maintain a warm, nurturing, safe and loving environment where self-concepts are enhanced, independence encouraged and individuality respected for all children, families and staff of CCD.
Dear Potential Family,

Thank you for taking the time to ask for CCD Fall River Daycare's information and for giving us a chance to become your family’s daycare provider. We encourage you to come in and see the wonderful facility for yourself and observe our program prior to enrolling. We feel that without coming in to tour you cannot get the whole picture of comparing facilities. Whether we are your choice in the end or not, we would like the opportunity to give you all the information we can about the things you should look for in a daycare and how we compare.

We are located at 700 S. Main St. in Fall River, just off of Hwy. 16. We built this location in 2006 to provide care and convenience to more families. The center has received recognition letters from our state licensing specialist for our continued efforts to maintain high quality.

Our facility has spacious rooms with lots of windows so we can utilize the natural light as much as possible. Our meals are family style both in food offered and in the way the children get to serve themselves. Breakfast is served from 7-7:45, lunch from 11-11:30 and we offer morning and afternoon snacks. The facility is cleaned nightly to help prevent the spread of germs as much as we possibly can.

Safety is very important to us and each building has a security system in place to ensure that unauthorized people cannot get into the center. Each family has their own code and, if necessary, each parent has their own code. We also secure the van we use for transportation by using a child safety alarm that must be turned off from the back of the vehicle to insure that we check each seat for children before exiting. We minimize the risk of children being left unattended by following our strict policy of checking the number of children in our care every time we cross a threshold. We also have sign in/out sheets for both the parents and teachers to fill out when children arrive and depart which allows us to know the exact number of children in our care at all times.

Our teachers work with you to keep your child’s life as consistent as possible with their home environments. We highly encourage parent/teacher communication at all times of the year through daily sheets that tell you all about your child’s day, monthly newsletters, and staff who will work around your schedule to answer questions at any time during the day. Families are kept aware of their children’s progress at state required parent/teacher conferences. Conferences are held the second full week of May and November each year and more frequently, if needed. Teachers track children’s cognitive and social behavior through portfolios, which are ongoing authentic assessments. Portfolios are like a scrapbook that the child will be able to take with them when their time with us is through. Finally, we have an open door policy and encourage you to visit your child any time you need that extra hug to help your day go more smoothly!

We have many programs to meet your family’s needs at Fall River Daycare. We start with our 6 weeks to 2 year old Continuity of Care program. This means that your child will stay with the same circle of providers until they turn 3 years old. Granted, there may be some differences during that time because, as we all know, life is not perfect and things come up in people’s lives that change the direction they are going. We stay as consistent as life will allow, ensuring that your child will be with providers that they recognize at all times.

CCD Fall River has low turnover in their staff department. We believe in higher education for our staff so we are members of the T.E.A.C.H. program of Wisconsin. This program works with the center and the individual teachers to help provide affordable higher education to help the teachers learn more about the field of Early Childhood Education. Continuing education is the key to keeping teachers excited about their career choice and allows them to provide the most developmentally appropriate and loving care possible for all children and families at CCD Fall River.

We have programs for school age children also, up to age 12. The school bus will pick up and deliver the children back to daycare when scheduled. We offer field trips and many activities throughout the week so that even children who do not come every day can participate.

We are open on snow days for those who must still go to work. All you will need to do is call in the morning to make sure enough staff has made it in. The only days we are closed are the major holidays that fall during the work week. Around the holidays, we will ask for holiday hours and attendance to determine if our hours of operation remain the same or are shortened; we try to stay open as long as it is economically feasible.

As you look over this information and find you have questions please feel free to call us, we will be glad to assist you. If you are convinced that we offer superior care and services above anything else you have seen, but are afraid it is not affordable for you, call us! We will find the most affordable way to ensure quality care for every child! We gladly work with families that qualify for county assistance. Families with more than one child get a 10% discount on each of the older children, excluding School Age children.

Please stop in and see us. We’ll work with you to make sure you have no worries about your children when you are away from them.
